After 4 years of using a blogspot site to host my ramblings, I’ve moved over to Wordpress. I feel sad to move on, Blogger, but it was time. However, you can still visit my previous self at karinbolstad.blogspot.com, if you want to see what I was up too from 2006-2009.
I actually was planning on importing all my previous posts and hauling them over to my new spiffy site, but it wouldn’t move the pictures – just link to them, which made everything run very very SLOOOOWWWWLLLY. So it seemed like a good enough reason to just start fresh- which is actually very appropriate. This past year was one of huge transitions – the first being the move from Seattle to Whidbey Island (goodbye, city mouse – hello country mouse!), and the second being my giving up working as an illustrator/designer, and committing to spending whatever time I have leftover from being a Mom to working on fine art.
With this resolution, here are my goals for 2010:
-Take some fine art classes, starting with this color class by xxooxo from Pratt. I may also look into some classes at Gage Academy of Art, and there also is a new school here on Whidbey that might be good….
-Design a new website (CHECK!)
-Design some biz cards
-Research what it would take to be represented by a gallery vs selling on my own
-Do a lotta art
